Habitat threat and protecting giant panda’s increasingly fragmented and shrinking habitat is a pressing issue in conservation. Attend this conference to address critical challenges and issues in developing future plans to restore panda habitat, adaptability to environmental changes and releasing giant pandas back into the wild so as to improve their genetic diversity management and conservation. Giant pandas are a unique species of bear that are native to China. Although they reside primarily in northern China, giant pandas have been transplanted to other areas of the world, where they live in zoos and preserves. However, the giant panda's future remains uncertain, where it is forecasted that half of giant panda habitat may vanish in 70 years. Habitat threat and protecting the panda's increasingly fragmented and shrinking habitat is a more pressing issue in their conservation and attempt to reintroduce giant pandas are one of the ways. Against this backdrop, Giant Panda Adaptability & Reintroduction into the wild Conference 2013 will provide a timely platform for industry players and those involved directly or indirectly in conservation and adaptability of giant panda, to share perspective and coming up with concrete solutions and assessment in conservation and adaptability as well as reintroduction into the wild. This conference will feature significant discussion on information such as genome and habitat protection which are both crucial for conservation effort. In addition, time has been set aside to discuss thoroughly and laying the biological foundation to better understand giant pandas as well as finding real solutions to improve conservation by controlling diseases and boosting reproduction of the species as well as breeding strategy of giant pandas on the reserves and improving captive panda management programme in order to effectively reintroducing pandas into the wild
