The challenges of globalization are creating a need for CFOs, finance and risk leaders to develop a finance function that works effectively on the global stage that embraces diversity along with addressing top priorities through a combination of transformation and business process outsourcing programmes designed to create sustainable, permanent cost reductions and new scalable capabilities in order to accelerate revenue growth as well as to reduce the chances of mishandling business. In addition, CFOs, finance and risk leaders need to calibrate ROIC (returns on invested capital) to drive shareholder value while balancing priorities concerning collaboration and independence in finance leadership and controllership.
