[The provision of construction adhesives, pu foams and sealants for a sustainable and rapid construction, waterproofing for watertight tunnel structures, as well as bearing, joints and other structural devices towards reinforcing mechanical and structural movement control for railway bridges and other structural applications across rail infrastructure including spray-applied waterproofing coatings to enhance durability, bonding to concrete and crack bridging ability, as well as the use of sealants and adhesives in railway vehicles, will be discussed thoroughly at this conference. As such, at this conference, James Dunaway will share his perspective and insights into this critical issue. James Dunaway, or Jim as he is better known as among his peers, is a graduate from the University of Akron, with an MS degree in Polymer Chemistry. After graduating, Jim was hired by the R&D group of PPG Industries - a global architectural paints and industrial coatings company. After a successful two years in the company, Jim brought his invaluable skills and industry knowledge to his next job. In 1988, Jim joined Tremco Inc. as a Research Chemist based in Cleveland, Ohio. For the next two decades, Jim worked in the field of waterproofing and industrial coatings product development where he also regularly conducted application training for newly developed products. In 2014, Jim moved from the USA to Malaysia to oversee Tremco’s local manufacturing and development of commercial sealants and waterproofing products for the Asian market. Over the next few years, Jim rose in his career to become the Technical and R&D Director of Tremco CPG for the Asia Pacific region where he continues to reinvent and improve the formulas of the company’s vast range of building and construction products]. |
