Construction of the Jakarta-Surabaya high speed railway is essential to meet ever-greater human movement, development of new urban areas along the rails lines and massive economic benefits, therefore, this conference highlights key success strategies, issues to be resolved and building best practice benchmarks for the development of the proposed USD 7.8 billion dollar project |
Construction of high speed railways in Indonesia is essential from the perspective of the massive Indonesian population, the locations of cities and the development of the economy. Construction will result in ever-greater human movement, development of new urban areas along the rail lines and massive economic benefits. As such, the conference reviews the Jakarta-Surabaya high speed rail plan. As the pre-feasibility study is expected to be completed by July 2017, and the project construction is scheduled to start in January 2018, therefore, bearing this timeframe, it is timely to be updated on the HSR project as well as possible business opportunities for industry players to participate in design, construction and completion of the project, including maintaining civil infrastructure and stations as well as supporting operational, technical and procurement matters relating to the high speed railway systems and operations. In addition, delegates will gain access into case studies and lessons to be learned pertaining to design, construction and asset management of high speed rail project, including track work, power, signaling and telecommunications. This information is valuable to build best practice benchmarks to ensure successful delivery of the Jakarta-Surabaya HSR project. |
Lessons to be learned from The Kuala-Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail Project Conference 2017 (scheduled on 3 & 4 May 2017, organized by Events Actually, at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia), (had uncovered new strategies as well as critical insights to accelerate and enhance new standards to meet key challenges of the successful completion and delivery of the Jakarta-Surabaya HSR project |
More than 14 industry experts of diverse professional and deep understanding of high-speed rail sector, bringing with them a breadth of experience, had presented diversity of inputs that are critical in pursuing highly complex and ambitious high-speed rail project. Discussions focused on providing proactive analysis to identify and resolve hidden problems, reflection and lessons to be learned from all aspect of HSR development, in order to bring the project to reality. In conjunction with the conference, more than 10 exhibit displays were featured to showcase latest innovation and technology, towards meeting key challenges of completing the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail project by 2026, and correspondingly, this will provide some useful foundation to draw reference towards the successful implementation of the construction phase of the Jakarta-Surabaya HSR project.
