This conference provides an alternative platform to take a closer look at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s in ending disease that will translate to create greater awareness to mobilize the healthcare industry to enhance data science, technology and building on tools to cure, prevent and manage all diseases by next 100 years
We still far from completely understand the etiology and causal patterns for many critical diseases. In spite of decades of epidemiological research, the etiology of many such conditions is still largely unknown. Against this development, Facebook Inc CEO, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Dr Priscilla Chan announced on 21 September 2016 that the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), have pledged more than $3 billion to fund a plan to "cure, prevent or manage all disease" by next 100 years, targeting heart disease, cancer, infectious diseases and neurological diseases. As such, this conference provides a timely platform to foster collaboration among researchers and scientists to find completely new ways to fight disease and to facilitate clues to new ways toward therapeutic discovery.
